Join us on Friday, January 16 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Burke High Middle School during the Expo and Packet-Pick up to load up on some yummy pasta provided to fuel you for your run!
Meal will include meat and vegetarian pasta option, bread, salad, soft drinks and dessert.
Cost is $7 as an add on to your registration or $10 walk up.
At the 2015 dinner, motivational running speaker Joe Muldowney spoke on ‘Personal Best,’at 5:30pm and ‘Advice for running in your 50s and 60s.’ at 6:30pm. Joe is the author of the book, “Running Shorts: A Collection of Stories and Advice for Anyone Who Has Ever Laced up a Pair of Running Shoes,” published in 2011, and most recently, a second book, “Personal Best,” which was published in September 2014. Joe’s books are based on his 38 years of competitive running, both as a national-class marathoner, with a personal best time of 2:22:54, 48 marathons under the 3-hour mark, 12 under the 2:30 mark, and as a successful “older” runner, posting a time of 2:58:56 at the 2010 Philadelphia Marathon, as a 57-year old. His latest book, “Personal Best,” is a self-help book for runners, and includes my personal account of the events at the 2013 Boston Marathon, in which he finished in a time of 3:04.
