Can I change distances?

Yes, you may change your race distance. There is no charge to change to a shorter distance, but you will be charged the difference in price if increasing your race distance. This will be strictly enforced by local authorities, for the health and safety of our participants.

Are you allowing walkers for the Half Marathon?

Due to time limitations on the City of Charleston portion of the race, you must be able to run or speed walk the first 8 miles of the half marathon course (no longer than 4mph or 15 minutes per mile).  This will be strictly enforced as roads will need to be reopened in a timely manner.  We will have course time schedules posted to our website as we get closer to the event.

The Charleston Shrimp and Grits 5k™ is open to runners and walkers!
